New Planet Beer had the pleasure of serving samples and conversing with customers at Whole Foods in Denver, CO. The Tamarac Whole Foods is the only Colorado location that has the ability to sell alcohol, so tasting events take place every Saturday from 1-6pm. In addition to two premium wine options, Tread Lightly Ale flowed freely throughout the day. Enthusiastic patrons who bought a six pack during our visit also received a one-of-a-kind organic New Planet Beer t-shirt. In addition, everyone that came by our both received a bottle opener and an informational card describing the unique background of gluten-free beer. The talk of the day was centered around the forthcoming release of the New Planet 3R Raspberry Ale which should be hitting the shelves this summer. Be sure to keep an eye out for this Raspberry delight as it’s sure to be a hit. Special thanks to the kind team members of Whole Foods for supporting New Planet Beer and their assistance throughout the day. We look forward to many similar events this summer of which will be promoted through our website.

New Planet Beer is proud to be on the list of the available beers at Old Chicago Pasta & Pizza locations in Colorado. Unfortunately we only offer New Planet Beer in Colorado, but in the future we hope to bring New Planet Beer to a location near you. In the meantime, take a road-trip to Colorado and drink a cold one, courtesy of Old Chicago’s gluten-free-sympathetic-hospitality. Additionally, New Planet would like to thank Old Chicago for making Tread Lightly Ale the only gluten-free beer available at their Colorado locations. One small step for Old Chicago, one big step for gluten-free beer. To see where there is an Old Chicago near you, visit our retail map.

Tiffany Jackobowski, President for Boulder County Celiacs talks about New Planet Beer’s Tread Lightly Ale.

As a coming-out-of-sorts, the New Planet Beer Company was proud to participate in the 1st Annual Boulder Brew and Music Fest, April 1, 2010 at the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO. Hundreds of eager beer connoisseurs and music junkies enjoyed small samples of Tread Lightly Ale as well as samples from some of the industry leaders including New Belgium Brewery, Deschutes Brewery and Stone Brewing Company. The day was topped off with Colorado musical acts Josh McWilliams, My Own Device and Vices I admire.

Not only did the Brew Fest provide us a great opportunity to converse with current Tread Lightly Ale drinkers, it was also a great way to introduce people to their first gluten-free beer experience. Our favorite quote from the first timers was, “It really tastes like beer!” In addition to conversing with the event’s patrons, the venue was ideal for meeting our industry leaders and colleagues who took a liking to our presence and our beer. Invaluable feedback and guidance was passed our way just as freely as we provided beer samples. All in all, this event can be chalked up as a success and we’re excited to participate in future brew fests this summer and fall. We look forward to meeting you!

Out of all the gluten free beers, New Planet is definitely my favorite and I’m looking forward to their darker beers coming out later.

New Planet Beer works with the Fort Collins Brewery to brew their certified gluten-free beer recipe. With Fort Collins Brewery’s dedication to detail, they are able to properly prepare every batch that meets our 100% gluten-free guarantee. To learn more about the certification process, visit Gluten-Free Beer.

Who is the Fort Collins Brewery and what do they do? Simply put (but most importantly) they’re a family owned business that has more than seven years of hands-on craft brewing experience. The hopes and aspirations of the Fort Collins Brewery is to move closer to the heart of Old Town Fort Collins, create a spot for their own complete with restaurant and tasting room. But, for now they’re satisfied with seven full time brews and an award winning portfolio of seasonal and special release beers (just some of their awards are medals at the Great American Beer Festival, U.S. Open Beer Championship, Craft Lager Festival and the U.S. Beer Tasting Championship and more to come in the future…) When the guys at Fort Collins Brewery aren’t brewing they’re busy reaping the fruits of their labor at beer festivals like the Boulder Beer & Music Festival.
